STORY
1982
Where it all began.
Originally called "Dr. Cindy Kruschel - Eye Care Clinic," Cindy made the bold move to start a clinic in the beautiful town of Okotoks. Cindy loved the feel for being in a small town and being able to connect personally with each one of her patients. This clinic was the first optometry clinic in Okotoks! Located in the heart of Okotoks, in what is now called Old Towne Okotoks, still remains as our clinic today.
2000
A Tire Shop?
Boy, there is some history here! This place was a tire shop in the beautiful High River for many years before it was turned into an optometry clinic to serve the growing population of High River. Many of our patients still tell us how much they miss this place, as do we! After the flood, this building was demolished to make some changes to downtown High River.
2010
Welcome Dr. Damon
With business booming, the demand for quality eye care was certainly there. Dr. Damon Umscheid, from small-town Milo, AB was well trained, driven and ready to help serve the High River community. His caring nature made him a great fit for our High River clinic. Patients loved seeing Dr. Damon, and word quickly spreads that there is another great doctor in town. Soon thereafter the name was changed to Eyes 360, to respect the fact there was now a team serving the eyecare needs of the community. Graduating only a couple years after Dr. Damon, Dr. Nikki Umscheid starting seeing patients part-time with Eyes 360 in 2014.

2013
The Flood
Well, that was unexpected, and not very nice! Very quickly, everything changed. Our clinic that many had grown to love and trust was ruined. Much of High River, destroyed. Homes, businesses, parks, schools, churches, farms, all underwater, making news internationally. We were quite heartbroken, but support from the community and all of us working together, we got through it. Although we now know we are pretty safe after all the amazing flood mitigation work by our town, we still have to admit that we get a bit nervous when there is significant rain in the forecast!

This was Dr. Vic Sillampa's old clinic, who wanted to retire after the flood. With all the new fancy equipment and the interior re-done, it was a win-win. This building is now home to Bottled Up.
Underestimating how hard it would be to have clinics all over the place we took on the challenge to serve the community of Vulcan as well.

Dr. Nikki
Graduating only a couple of years after Dr. Damon, Dr. Nikki Umscheid was only working casually with Eyes 360 until 2014. Now with a few additional clinics under the Eyes 360 group, it was time for some more help. Dr. Nikki, always ready to lend a helping hand was, more than happy to be seeing patients in the town she grew up in! Outside of Clinic Nikki was a busy Mom, inside the clinic, Nikki worked hard to explain the importance of eye exams to parents, and by going into classrooms of many schools. May we say she has a true passion for kids?
